Being confident of this very thing, that He who hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. -- Philippians 1:6

Elder Eric Taylor, Sr. is a native of Baltimore, MD. He is the son of Mrs. Evelyn and the late Robert Taylor, Sr. He has seven brothers and sisters. He attended Baltimore City Public Schools, graduating from Northern High School in 1980. He was first introduced to Jesus as a young boy by neighbors in Northeast Baltimore and was baptized at the Central Baptist Church by Rev. Montaque J. Brackett. After serving three (3) years of active duty in the United States Marine Corps, traveling to various ports around the world (including a tour of duty in Beirut, Lebanon), he recognized it was dangerous to be in the hands of a government, and out of touch with God.

Recommitting his life to Christ, he joined the New Psalmist Baptist church, where he became grounded in the Word of God. Approximately two (2) years later, he came to the Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Mark L. Saunders. It was under this leadership that he accepted the call and responsibility of preaching this glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. He attended the Baltimore School of the Bible and the Maryland Theological College and Seminary.

On December 9, 2017, he became Pastor-Elect of the Ebenezer Baptist Church after serving as Interim Pastor from 2014 to 2017. He is purposed to serve the people of God by loving, leading, and teaching them, while preaching the whole Word of God. He is purposed to equip God's people with the assured knowledge that we are forever changed by the power of God -- a power which produces victorious, Christ-centered lives. God gets the Glory from lives of faithful, forgiving, diligent and humble servants.

He is married to the love of his life, Minister Cameira Taylor (pictured above), and they have five (5) children: Eric, Jr., Cherontae, Charis, Erica, and Eli.
